Fremont Acura TSX Sport Wagon brings old function to modern sportiness

Acura is predicting the sporty wagon market will grow by 40 percent by the year 2014, and the company has jumped ahead of the competition by offering the new TSX Wagon. Most wagons are still nowhere to be found reentering the lineup of other brands, but the tide is shifting as to how enthusiasts and middle-of-the-road consumers view the style and practicality of the station wagon.
Five door options have been making noise in recent years, but the true wagon-style body has not been a widespread offering in
the industry. Though the Acura TSX Sport Wagon falls under the moniker of a "traditional wagon" that term refers to size and functionality only. The TSX Sport Wagon is anything but traditional. Its promised sporty handling and peppy response should do little to remind you that you aren't driving the TSX Sedan.
The TSX Wagon will feature the sedan's base and 201-hp four-cylinder. The rear of the Wagon will obviously be taller, with a much larger cargo space than the sedan's trunk. Additionally, there will be a few hidden cargo areas underneath the floor of the rear cargo area that are long enough to stow away items four to five feet in length. The interior design will otherwise look just like the Acura TSX Sedan, and why not? With such a sleek, popular design, the idea with the Wagon was not to create a new car, but to offer an obvious addition to the TSX line. The same tech found in the Sedan has also arrived with the Wagon that hit your Fremont new and used car dealerin December: Navigation, USB/MP3 connectivity and ELS surround-sound speakers.
Pricing for the TSX Wagon has not been released but is likely to land between the four-cylinder sedan and six-cylinder sedan. The value will be there, in keeping with Acura's value pricing on luxury offerings. The wagon version of the Acura TSX should satisfy many car buyers looking for fun, luxury and cargo space.
